The Alberta Diabetes Institute IsletCore serves the international scientific community by isolating, biobanking, and distributing human pancreatic islets and other associated tissues for research. These human biosamples are distributed to over 150 groups located throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, supporting research into diabetes, transplantation, and cell-based therapies. The ADI IsletCore maintains an active research program comprising multiple international collaborative projects and manages the on-site Pancreatic Islet Deep Phenotyping Core.
We also have an online database for access to donor, organ processing, and quality control information, along with banked sample and tissue block inventory for all of our isolations. If you are working with a prep from us, reading a paper that lists an IsletCore Record ID number, or looking for islet/pancreas tissue samples, please have a look here. |
