Alberta Diabetes Institute IsletCore serves the international scientific community by isolating, biobanking, and distributing human pancreatic islets and other associated tissues for research.

These biosamples are distributed to over 170 groups throughout the world, supporting research into diabetes, transplantation, and cell-based therapies. ​ADI IsletCore also maintains an active research program comprising multiple international collaborative projects and manages the on-site Pancreatic Islet Deep Phenotyping Core.
